Suzie Reinsvold has been a healthcare executive for 25 years, working to advance progressive, responsible practices in education and management. As chief nursing officer and chief operating officer at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital (MLKCH), she is an action-oriented leader focused on finding cutting-edge, creative solutions to attract and retain talented nurses. Her goal is always to build trust within highly cohesive teams who work to achieve the high standards of patient care for which MLKCH is known.
Prior to joining the hospital, Suzie was the vice president of patient care services and then the chief operating officer for Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach, where she was responsible for patient care, operations and quality, among others. She was also senior vice president at Versant in Los Angeles, where she helped to develop and implement activities designed for the Versant RN Residency Program. And at Children’s Hospital of Orange County Suzie was vice president of patient care services and the chief nurse executive, where she implemented a nursing pediatric internship training program.
Suzie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Purdue University in Indiana and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. She is a member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
Married with two stepsons, she loves to cook, is an avid animal lover, and an avowed NPR listener.
