Our hospital employs a Homeless Services Liaison, as well as Community Health Workers, who are dedicated to supporting those MLKCH patients experiencing homelessness. Our Homeless Team provides direct referrals to:

  • Public agencies
  • Homeless organizations that provide direct linkages to permanent housing
  • Emergency shelter beds
  • Recuperative care centers (including the on-campus Recuperative Care Center, see below)
  • Independent and transitional living homes

Our Homeless Team also attends community meetings and forums to bring back important information, updates, and initiatives in the homeless services industry.
