MLK Community Healthcare CEO Dr. Elaine Batchlor recently joined NPR’s 1A to discuss how proposed federal funding changes could affect hospitals, patients and access to care.
“A significant portion of our patients rely on Medicaid, and changes to that funding will have a meaningful impact on safety-net providers,” Dr. Batchlor said.
In the conversation, Dr. Batchlor also highlights the importance of programs that help patients manage chronic conditions and the role safety-net providers play in serving communities like South Los Angeles.
