Moaz Hamid is founder and managing partner of mvmt ventures, a startup innovation foundry for individuals with disabilities. He serves on the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation’s board of directors, and is an advisor and mentor for early-stage startups for Plug & Play Tech Center (PNP), Founder Institute, and Fast Track by First Round Capital, and serves as chair of the advisory board for FoundersBoost (pre-accelerator). Hamid is a former advisor for SoftBank Robotics and Opportunity Fund. He is particularly proud of his role on the LA Mayor Entrepreneurship Program, working with the former Mayor Eric Garcetti to support underserved-youth.
Early in his career, Hamid worked with Google on the emerging market growth for Maps, Apps, and Search and with Microsoft on bringing new smartphone solutions to market. He speaks with gratitude of mentors at Google and Microsoft who helped him advance in his career. Hamid studied systems analysis and design, creating code and user experience processes for a multitude of organizations. He most recently studied Venture Capital and Angel Investing with Black Venture Institute, Salesforce Ventures, and Operator Collective at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
Hamid is an active member of the Dream Council and interested in engaging more deeply with MLKCH. He lives in northern California but is in Los Angeles frequently for business.
