As Senior Vice President of Strategy and Health System Integration at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, Bruce Pollack is responsible for setting the strategic direction toward becoming an integrated health system. He’s also accountable for developing new business initiatives and expanding clinical services through alignment with established medical groups and providers in our service area.

Prior to joining Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital, Bruce served as executive director, responsible for Medi-Cal operations at L.A. Care, the nation’s largest public health plan, where he held several leadership roles since joining the organization in 2011. Prior to joining L.A. Care, Bruce served as president of the Academy for International Health Studies, organizing trade/study missions for US health care executives in foreign countries. As vice president of business development for Cigna International, Bruce was responsible for managing hospitals and ambulatory care centers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to joining Cigna, he served as vice president of business development for Aetna International, managing the hospital and provider network operations of Argentina’s largest private HMO. During this tenure with Aetna Bruce implemented the health plan’s first primary care medical clinics.

Bruce received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University and his master’s in business administration from Stanford University. He is fluent in French and Spanish. When Bruce is not working, he enjoys travel, skiing, scuba diving, singing, and songwriting.
