Your gift directly supports MLKCH’s general fund, giving us the opportunity to meet the immediate needs of our community and plan for the future. The general fund has helped launch our award winning Street Medicine program, support staff mental health services, provided education opportunities for staff development and much more!

  • Discharge medication and prescription refills for patients in need

Recipe for Health

  • Patients receive fresh fruits and vegetables, and diabetes management support

 

 

Community-based care

  • Mobile vaccination efforts
  • Preventative health screening events in the community (almost 300 health screens performed in a single month)

Workforce development and training

  • HiSET program
  • Nurse Residency & Fellowship
  • Graduate Medical Education Programs

Maternal health services

  • Lactation clinic for new moms. The clinic provides 1-on-1 breastfeeding consultations and offers breastfeeding mommy support groups.
  • Post-delivery educational opportunities and classes.
  • Launch prenatal services for new moms

Street medicine program

  • Patients receive care where they are located
  • Providing medication such as high blood pressure medications and insulin

Telehealth services

  • Expansion to allow patients to stay in contact with their care teams
