About Juan J. Andino

Dr. Juan José Andino is a board-certified, fellowship-trained urologist who specializes in male sexual health and cancer survivorship. He completed advanced fellowship training in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at UCLA, following extensive experience in prosthetic urology at the University of Michigan.

His surgical practice focuses on restoring or improving quality of life through procedures such as penile implants, testicular implants, male slings, and artificial urinary sphincters. He also treats conditions like penile curvature (Peyronie’s disease) and priapism.

He has specialized training in surgical treatments not routinely offered by all urologists, including:

  • Penile implants for men with including complex cases such as revisions, salvage (replacing an implant during infection to preserve penile size), and after priapism
  • Surgical correction of penile curvature due to Peyronie’s disease or congenital conditions (e.g., plication, incision and grafting, or implant placement when erectile dysfunction is also present)
  • Male slings to treat stress urinary incontinence after prostate surgery in select patients
  • Artificial urinary sphincters for moderate to severe urinary leakage in men, especially following prostate cancer treatment
  • Penoscrotal decompression for complex ischemic priapism cases (alternative to shunts, less morbidity)

In addition to sexual health and survivorship care, Dr. Andino also performs in-office vasectomies and treats men with testicular, penile, or urethral masses, as well as other penile or scrotal conditions that may require surgery.

He is a native Spanish speaker and is proud to be the first UCLA Urologist serving patients at both MLK Community Healthcare and UCLA Health.
