What is MLKCH Gives?
MLKCH Gives is our annual staff giving campaign. If you work for or with MLKCH, this campaign is for you! It’s an easy way to support our mission and to put our culture of generosity into action.
Where does my dollar go?
Your gift goes directly to the MLKCH general fund, which helps us address immediate needs and support long-term plans to help our patients and staff thrive.
The general fund has helped to pilot our street medicine program, supported staff mental health services, expand our mobile vaccination efforts, and so much more! This year’s campaign will continue to quality patient care and support our staff. Your gift will support:
- Create a transitional center for our unhoused patients
- Grow a diabetes center of excellence
- Launch lactation clinic for breastfeeding moms
- Train next generation of healthcare professionals
Will there be tabling events this year?
Yes! We’ll be holding tabling gift pick ups in the cafeteria this year. The MLKCH Gives leadership team and foundation staff will be available on these dates
- Tuesday, August 3, 11:30am – 1:30pm
- Tuesday, August 10, 11am – 1pm

How can I pick up my gift?
If you’re already a recurring donor or made your gift online this year, we owe you a thank you gift! Come by a tabling event during the times listed above. In addition, the foundation team will be rounding on all floors of the hospital during both day and night shifts from Monday, 8/2 through Wednesday, 8/18. If we miss you, or if you work in an outpatient clinic or offsite, email Gianna Gallardo at gianna@mlk-chf.org to coordinate a pick up at the hospital.
Do I have to give online?
There are multiple ways to make your gift. Our online form is secure and easy to use. But if you prefer to fill out a contribution form in person, you can come by a tabling event or catch the foundation team during rounding in the hospital throughout the campaign. You can also drop off completed contribution forms in our dropbox outside of the 2nd floor administrative suite.
Can I increase my bi-weekly payroll deduction?
Yes! Simply use the online form to choose your new giving level, or fill out a paper contribution form. Or you can email Blanca Martinez at blanca@mlk-chf.org with your new gift amount.
