Three MLKCH vans are bringing mobile vaccine clinics directly to neighborhoods hardest hit by COVID-19

The California Community Foundation’s Centinela Fund boosts the hospital’s planning and pilot program development for its health education outreach. 

The Annenberg Foundation awarded a 2013 grant of $151,880 for planning and pilot work related to the hospital’s Learning Center. 

Without MLKCH maternity services, more than half of the women in South Los Angeles travel far from their community to obtain maternity care. 

In October 2014, the Good Hope Medical Foundation issued a challenge grant to kick off our Advanced Care Program planning and first-stage pilot. 

The David & Lucile Packard Foundation awarded a grant of $800,000 in support of the hospital’s expansion of maternity services and programs. 

Thanks to a lead gift from The Walt Disney Company, the hospital will build a collection of art from local artists to adorn patient areas.

The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation leads the way for South Los Angeles’ Healthy Babies, Healthy Beginnings with an early, and significant, grant. 

The funding supports the expansion of the MLKCH maternity services, so new mothers in South Los Angeles will be able to deliver their babies close to home.

The Ahmanson Foundation’s grant award enables the hospital’s purchase of a Siemen’s Symphony MRI for timely, accurate diagnoses on premises.
